Culver City business seeks Planning Department approval

A Culver City business represented by David Reiss of A-Frame LP and Samuel Kardashian is seeking approval from the Culver City planning department for a 585 sq. ft. outdoor dining area at the former location of the Red Rose Restaurant. The building is an existing 1,692 sq. ft. structure located at 12565 Washington Blvd, Culver City.

Culver City Planning Department Process

The owners have applied for an “administrative use” permit for outdoor dining and Culver City’s Planning Department is currently processing the application. Per the Culver City municipal code, the application must undergo a fifteen-day public review period, during which time the Planning Department solicits public comments. At the end of the public review period, the Culver City planning department manager will make an administrative decision.

Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the initial review of the project has found no potentially significant adverse impacts on the environment and has been deemed Categorically Exempt as the project is a minor addition to an existing structure.

Culver City business application public comment period

For the permit application, the public comment period has been set for May 20 through June 3, 2010. If you wish to comment on this Culver City business application, send your comments to Joshua Williams, Associate Planner.
