Lunch

Lunch

My friend and I noticed Lunch, the newest restaurant in Culver City, had opened. Even though it was long past lunch (5 pm) they appeared to be serving.  We decided to get something to go for dinner.  (Note: don’t call your restaurant “Lunch” if you plan to be open for dinner – we almost assumed it would be closed).

The gal at the counter was friendly and explained everything – service was very good.  They offered us something to drink while we were waiting for our order and everyone was friendly.

Both of us decided to do the build-your-own sandwich. I had roast beef, bree cheese, bibb lettuce, tomato, and horseradish sauce on a baguette with a side of hummus and cucumber salad.  The sandwich was terrific – roast beef was tender (most sandwich places give you tired old roast beef) and yummy.  Dressing had just the right amount of bite to it.  Only disappointment was the cucumber salad – just ordinary.  I also had the potato leek soup which was so delicious I could have slurped up a whole tureen of it.

We shared a couple of cookies – peanut butter and chocolate chip. Really yummy good!

The decor and layout is really quite nice with a great outdoor seating area.  Definitely try it out!

Definitely try this really fresh little lunch place that opened in January 2010 on Main Street.
